I would've liked it better if they hadn't have thrown in the random romance. It's a great movie about friendship and working together and besides the ending I really liked the story, and the idea behind it. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it was a lot better than I had expected it to be.

What's with the hate with this movie? It is very good from start to finish. I don't know why many people hate the ending but in my opinion the ending is totally great. The staffs of this movie is very aware what viewers hate in an anime. And the number one thing that the viewers doesn't want in an anime is cliche storylines. This one is a "middle finger" to those anime companies that do the same thing over and over again.

I was lucky enough to be able to see this film at one of the select American theatre screenings in Boston, and I have to say it was well worth the price of admission.

The use of teenage drama coated with realistic fiction just so the general audience can relate to a situation is fairly overrated. We've had a lot of these teenage love triangles that all try to contain realism in them but in the end, have the characters move away from the realistic outcome. What's to say that stories aren't fantasy escapes for other people, after all?

If I could give a decimal rating, I would give this movie a solid 8.5/10. It is definitely worthy of watching if you enjoy animations with beautiful messages (e.g any Studio Ghibli or similar movies) because if this show does one thing well, it is that it stays true to portraying what it aims to.

I can't believe more people aren't talking about this movie. This is my first time writing a review so bear with me.

I really enjoyed the story and rather complex characters.
The music was very beautifully composed and perfectly fitted the narrative.
I really liked the backstory of both Jun and Takumi, which was beautifully portrait through the art and some of the musical elements.

The dynamic between Characters was at times very funny and pretty relatable. Even until the very ending it stayed pretty innocent and pure.

This is the first review I'm going to write, and probably the only review unless I can find another anime that will make me re-watch this 8 or more times in a row.

First of all, this is my first review. What inspired me to make this was the anime itself. Just think, Jun Naruse is just like me in that we both fail to express our true opinions. I have seen so many anime ranging from One Piece to Attack on Titan to Tari Tari, and spent so much time on them, but I never stated how I felt for each anime. First of all I would like to say that this was probably the most enjoyable anime movie I've ever watched.

Secondly I would like to say this movie is probably not for everyone. It's a teenage drama! It depicts high school students with their seperate issues who are randomly put together in a group and their development. The movie could be considered quite cheesy, contains (possibly stupid) drama and would probably considered boring by abig part of the anime community.

That being said I think this is more or less a model teenage drama movie.

SHOULD HAVE MADE IT A SHOW INSTEAD OF A MOVIE!

I saw loads of potential in this movie. The story is great, so is the art style and I liked its sound direction, although I felt as it was missing something but this could be due to the pacing of the movie being too rushed. Fitting this kind of thing into 2 hours really restricted what it could have been.

Massive pacing issues! It should have been made as an at least 24 episode show hopefully, even more. Then it could have taken it slower and built it up to a crescendo to then shock us ...

I remember when I saw the title of this movie I was excited. What can I say? It's about music.
And it does have important moments with music and the songs are appropriate for them so I can't say I'm disappointed with its musicality.
The main plot of the story is nice. I like the fact that it is satire and not afraid to show the reality of most people in facing their mistakes and trauma; either runaway or pretend that there is nothing wrong.

The way of the main characters' relationship, though... it was disappointing. It seemed too forced and ... I don't know, bland?
And the ending! ...

This movie is fucking amazing.

Jun, the main character, she's the best girl. The whole movie surrounds her, since she's the main character but she's struggling, and its nice to see her try, but this shit is weird since she's on a curse where she cant talk (That's not a spoiler, it doesnt affect you). She gets grouped with 3 people. 1 normal dude, 1 normal girl, and 1 guy that doesnt really give a shit.

Their grouped to do something in a certain event, therefore, they create a certain bond. But, Jun, the best girl, becomes close friends with Takumi, and, Takumi tries to help ...
